Suzlon pulls the plug in Brazil

Several factors have prompted Suzlon to shut down its subsidiary in Brazil.

The Indian turbine manufacturer has given up on its Brazilian business and has now filed for voluntary liquidation of its Brazilian subsidiary Suzlon Energia Eólica do Brasil Ltda.

The subsidiary was established in 2006 to manage the many business opportunities in Brazil. But Suzlon has now decided, after a long period of contemplating all options, that the Brazilian subsidiary will be closed.
