Green investments dropped globally in Q2

Investments in renewable energy dropped in the second quarter of 2017 relative to the same quarter in the previous year. Investments were "only" made for USD 64.8 billion, but this is still positive as the costs have declined, according to an analyst.

In the second quarter 2017, USD 64.8 billion (EUR 56.55 billion) were invested in renewables around the world. This is a decline compared to the same period in 2016.

But it's not as negative as it seems, because this is still the highest amount of investments compared to all other quarters, excluding Q2 2016, reports Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF).
