Dong lands potential huge order in the US

Dong Energy has entered a partnership with the potential for 2 GW offshore wind off the coast of US state Virginia. To begin with, the energy company will install two wind turbines.

Dong Energy will construct 12 MW offshore wind.

This may not sound like much, but the order is a milestone in that the two turbines, 6 MW respectively, are the first that the Danish energy company will install in US waters. The turbines are scheduled for installation off the coast of Virgina Beach by the end of 2020, announces Dong in a press release.
