Developer to construct subsidy-free turbines in the UK

One of the world's largest wind developers has committed to taking on subsidy-free turbines as part of its coming British project portfolio.

British project developer RES is preparing for a post-subsidy onshore wind market. The company has committed part of its British portfolio to be installed in a market with no Renewables Obligation certificates, reports Renews.

The company's British portfolio currently consists of approved projects of 140 MW.
