MHI Vestas out of the running for the US' first major wind farm

It seems highly unlikely that MHI Vestas will be supplying the turbines to what could become the first large-scale offshore wind farm in the US. GE and Siemens Gamesa are now battling over the final order worth up to 750 MW.

In just three years, the first turbines in the US' hitherto largest offshore wind farm, the US Wind offshore wind project of 750 MW in the state of Maryland, will be locked into place and delivering power to US customers.
