Nordex wins 81 MW in Germany

Nordex is still doing well on its home market, although the company recently downgraded total sales figures for the full-year 2017. The German firm hopes a new wind turbine can turn things around.

The German wind turbine manufacturer secured orders with combined capacity of 81 MW in Germany during the second quarter, states the company in the press release.

The total 13 projects have all been approved by German authorities and the funding is finalized. Nordex expects to erect the majority of the turbines during 2017. The company has not unveiled the size of the order intake on the same market during the same period last year, but according to the half-year interim report for 2016, the order intake in Germany grew 30 percent measured in euros to EUR 525 million.
