Chinese Jiangsu Sinojit has made a 50 MW order with Vestas, announced the Danish wind turbine manufacturer in a press release. Vestas will deliver a number of its V110-2.0MW turbines, which have been upgraded to yield 2.2 MW, to the Xuanhuihe project in the northern Hebei province. The turbines are expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter and involve a service contract of unconfirmed duration.
Thus, China is emerging as 2017's most-important market for the Danish manufacturer, after the US. The new order brings up the total capacity of fixed orders from China up to 476 MW. In other words, two days before the end of the second quarter 2017, Vestas has already secured almost as much as the 510 MW it landed in total from China last year.
