New delays on the electricity grid hold up Vestas Kenyan project

The prospect of generating electricity from Kenyan wind farm Lake Turkana is now further away, after new delays have impacted grid connectivity.

There were high hopes for upcoming Kenyan wind project Lake Turkana, which has turbines installed by Vestas, but things have not gone according to plan.

Although Vestas installed the turbines on the farm in just 50 weeks – two months early – the structures are standing still despite now being ready to spin.
