Australia prepares 2 GW offshore wind farm

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed for the construction of a huge project consisting of 250 wind turbines.

Australia could soon host its first offshore wind farm. Australian company Offshore Energy has signed an MoU with the national government and state of Victoria concerning the 2 GW project "Star of the South," which will consist of 250 turbines.

This is according to the Government of Victoria.
