German offshore wind turbine manufacturer Senvion has confirmed its order for Trianel Borkum II. The announcement comes after the consortium behind the German offshore wind farm, Trianel, and utility association EWE, reached a final investment decision for the 203 MW North Sea project.
32 turbines from Senvion's 6 MW platform will be delivered to the projects. The turbines have been upgraded to provide 6.2 MW each per project, which is expected to be installed during spring 2019.
