Vestas exec: We can conquer India

There is still a ways to go before reaching the level of leading competitors in India, but that does not stop Vestas' new head of marketing in the region from predicting a dominant position, as he explains how Vestas does not fear other players on the market.

Vestas has launched two new turbine types and last month the manufacturer also opened a new blade factory in India. All of this contributes to Vestas' ambition of beating competitors and becoming a market leader in India, says an exec, according to Recharge.

"India is the crucial, most important market in Asia-Pacific," says Vestas executive Clive Turton, who joined the wind group earlier this month to head its regional sales unit covering Asian markets outside China.
