Turkey to host major wind auction in July

The Turkish energy minister has announced that the country will host an auction for wind turbine projects with a total capacity of 1 GW.

Turkey, which is one of Europe's blossoming wind turbine markets, will host an auction on July 27 for wind turbine projects with capacity of 1 GW, announced the Turkish energy minister, Berat Albayrak, according to Turkish media Anadolu Agency.

According to Recharge News, General Electric has already signed a declaration of intent with a trio of Turkish and German companies to bid in the auction.
