Power shifted from oil and gas to offshore wind in 2015

The drastic oil price plunge meant that in 2015, Denmark's offshore wind industry booked much greater revenue than that of the country's oil and gas industry.

The Danish energy sector experienced a power shift in 2015.

For the first time ever, offshore wind turbines constituted a bigger business than oil and gas in terms of revenue, according to an analysis of the Danish offshore industry commissioned by the The Region of Southern Denmark, reports Danish media DR Syd.
