Six plus six means record year for Denmark's Bladt Industries

The Danish manufacturer of wind turbine monopiles is so busy that it cannot take on any more work right now. This has resulted in a record 2016 result, despite the recent announcement of a large-scale round of layoffs at a Danish factory. Bladt will arm itself for the future with welding robots.

Last year, the lucky number for Danish Bladt Industries must have been six.

The booming orderbook and contracts for a total of six offshore wind farms and six transformer stations explain the 18 percent growth in revenue which enabled the company to exit 2016 with the highest top line ever.
