GE has won a notable order in its homeland. The US wind turbine manufacturer will deliver 100 of its 2.5 MW turbines with a rotor diameter of 116 meters for the project Willow Springs in Texas.
The order was placed by I Squared Capital and project developer Lincoln Clean Energy (LCE) which have opted to use GE as supplier on several previous occassions. One such occasion occurred last fall when two other Texan farms with a total 500 MW were supplied with the same turbines.
