Tesla delivered 25,000 cars during the first quarter this year, above analyst expectations and heralding a strong year for the electric car manufacturer, writes Financial Times.

The company has previously experienced production problems which prompted analysts to doubt founder and CEO Elon Musk and his ambitions to manufacture half a million cars by 2018.
