Siemens has landed what is likely one of its last onshore turbine orders before the merger with Gamesa, which is expected to be settled next month. The wind turbine manufacturer will deliver seven SWT-3.2-113 turbines to a project in southern France.
The order was awarded by French IPP Futuren Group which placed a similar 21 MW order 18 months ago for a wind farm on the other side of France.
