Hearings to clarify the fate of largest US wind offshore farm

In the coming weeks, two civil hearings in the state of Maryland could seal the fate for the next large offshore wind project in the US. The developers should be allocated billions in subsidies within a matter of weeks.

This spring, the stage is set for a few thrilling weeks for two of the most aggressive offshore wind developers in the US.

On May 17 the Maryland Public Service Commission will determine if one of the two bids on the state's first offshore wind farm will have access to public support of up to USD 1.9 billion.
