Since 2004, Danish company Floating Power Plant has worked on developing a floating platform for wind and wave energy. It has not yet become a profitable business, but this will likely change in a few years.
The cleantech company's aim is to generate earnings from 2019, the same year it expects to launch its first platform. This will end up happening in the vicinity of the UK and in collaboration with Irish DP Energy, which signed two project agreements with Floating Power Plant.
