Danish developer puts pension money in Brazilian solar project

This summer, two years of construction will begin to provide Brazil with 180 MW in solar panel plants. Denmark's European Energy, along with several pension funds, is behind the plants and might be headed in the direction of wind turbine investments as well.

With solid financial backing from Danish pension funds, European Energy is poised to get its foot in the door to one of the large growth markets within renewable energy.

The company has just launched a huge construction project to result in 180 MW of solar panel facilities in Brazil, CEO Knud Erik Andersen tells EnergyWatch.
