Canadian company buys offshore wind farm in Germany

A German offshore wind farm of 252 MW will soon have new owners. The farm's installation, which will consist of Vestas turbines, will begin sometime during this year and cost around EUR 1.2 billion to construct.

Canadian company Northland Power has acquired the offshore wind farm Deutsche Bucht, which will boast 252 MW and cost EUR 1.2 billion to construct, reports Renews.

According to the industry media, Northland will invest CAD 400 million (EUR 281 million) in the offshore wind farm where the balance will come from project financing and "pre-completion revenues".
