Vestas hires new president for Indian venture

Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas names the new president who will boost sales in Australia and the growth nations in the Pacific region with the intention of establishing solid footing in India.

Vestas has hired a president for its future Asian venture. Australian Clive Turton has been recruited as the regional president of the newly established sales business unit SBU ASP, which covers eastern Asia, excluding China and Mongolia, announces Vestas in a statement.

The new position also includes the Indian market where Vestas hopes to gain a solid footing. Last year, the Danish turbine manufacturer re-established its physical presence in the growing market, which in recent years has been dominated by Gamesa and local manufacturers such as Suzlon and Inox.
