Dong lands approval for offshore wind farm

Dong Energy and its partners have obtained approval from the EU Commission for the acquisition of the first major offshore wind project in Taiwan.

Denmark's Dong Energy is one step closer to its first offshore wind farm in Taiwan.

The EU competition authority has now approved the acquisition of the Formosa 1 project made by the Danish utility along with Australian equity fund Macquarie and local company Swancor, which has owned the project thus far, according to a statement from the Commission.
