Siemens has secured two orders for a total 40 MW. The wind turbine manufacturer will deliver six of its SWT 3.3 130 turbines for the project Damme II in Lower Saxony, Germany, and seven of the slightly smaller SWT 3.0 113 for the Bürgerwindpark Brebek project in Schleswig-Holstein, according to a press release from Siemens.
The conglomerate rarely makes public announcements regarding turbine orders of this size.
