European offshore wind breaks record

According to the European wind organization WindEurope, this Wednesday broke several wind production records in Europe, including in Denmark and Beligum.

Wind production in Europe may not have broken every single record this past Wednesday, but it definitely broke some, according to European wind association WindEurope, which has thus gotten off to a booming start with its new service, launched earlier this month. The service shows daily wind production in most European countries.

Belgium set a new record of 44 GWh, Denmark's record came to 97 GWh, and the continent's main wind country Germany apparently spun a record-breaking 816 GWh out of the country's turbines. Part of this was at sea and if you add Europe's remaining offshore production, an output record was set of 218 GWh.
