China aims to install 20 GW of wind capacity in 2017

Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has already landed a major order in China this year, but there may be even more orders in store as China has set a goal of erecting 20 GW of wind in 2017.

China's national energy authorities want to add 20 GW of wind capacity this year, according to their guidelines for 2017, writes Bloomberg News.

According to the journal Scientific American, China installed close to 29 GW in 2015 and almost 21 GW in 2014.
