Dong ready to get its feet wet in major UK wind farm

Danish offshore wind specialists will soon begin to install the extension for British Walney farm where MHI Vestas and Siemens turbines will work side by side.

The boats are prepped and local fishermen in the eastern Irish Sea off the Isle of Walney have been notified.

Over the course of next week, Dong Energy will start the seabed work in the construction of the huge Walney extension farm. When the farm is complete it will produce a total of 660 MW in electricity for British consumers.
