Wind power lags behind after record year

2016 did not match the level from the year before in terms of wind power, shows a new report. EnergyWatch outlines the situation in wind markets around the world.

All in all, 54 GW wind were installed in 2016. But this is nowhere near enough to compete with the record wind-year of 2015, according to a new report from The Global Wind Energy Council.

The year of 2015 brought all of 63.5 GW, but at The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), this is not disappointing.
