Nordex, by its own admission, sat on 15 percent of the German market last year. The German wind turbine manufacturer installed 267 turbines with a total capacity of 691 MW, which is 58 percent more MW than in 2015, and better than the overall market which grew by almost 24 percent. In total, 4,625 MW of wind were installed in Germany last year, according to a press release from the company.
After a decade, which saw the company nearly turfed off its home turf, Nordex has gained solid ground over the last year. In 2014, the German manufacturer had a market share of 8.7 percent, while in 2015 this increased to 11.8 percent on the growing market.
