Norwegian service carrier Eidesvik has signed two contracts. One is a deal with Siemens Wind Power, which will charter the supply vessel Acergy Viking for a minimum of six months. This ship will be used as an accommodation, service, and maintenance vessel for the manufacturer's wind turbines in German waters. The other contract is an extension on an agreement with Chevron concerning the vessel Viking Princess adding another year as well as the option for further extension, writes Eidesvik in a press release.
"The new contract awarded to the Acergy Viking could not have happened without the excellent operational performance on existing contract for Siemens. We look forward to work together with our client on yet another project," the carrier writes in the press release.
