Rough year for wind turbine stocks despite solid order activity

Apart from a soon-to-be merged Spanish player, 2016 has been somewhat tough on shares at turbine manufacturers.

2016 was a tough year on shareholders at wind turbine manufacturers. Spanish Gamesa stood out with a positive development, while Denmark's Vestas saw share price declines, as did both Indian and Chinese producers.

Vestas can otherwise boast an impressive order intake lately, but the company's share price still dropped by almost eight percent this year.
