Just like any other industry, wind is ultimately all about returns. Strictly measured on that front, the recently released annual report from Danish consultant K2 indicates that the fiscal year 2015/2016 was very tight. The company's ROCE – Returns On Invested Capital – is only one third of last year's figure, while the net result fell by 40 percent down to DKK 2.9 million (EUR 390,000).
This is not the whole story, however. Not only because last year was the best yet in the 10-year history of the Danish company, but also because the lower returns can be attributed to a positive development, as the gross result grew 13 percent to almost DKK 65 million.
