German Nordex lands test order for new turbine

Nordex has landed its first order for its new light-wind turbine from a small farm developer in Northern Germany.

A small order is better than no order. German turbine maker Nordex has announced an order for one single turbine – with total capacity of 3.6 MW.

However, size is not supposed to be the impressive part of this deal. It marks the first order for the light-wind model N131/3600, which was launched in September along with the model N117/3600 for medium-strong winds. The platform is not actually new but constitutes an upgrade of the 3-megawatt-platform, which was launched at the conference in German city Husum last year along with the 3.3 MW turbine.
