German wind turbine producer buys blade manufacturer

The trend among wind turbine manufacturers to buy up suppliers in the quest for access to new markets continues.

German Senvion continues its sprint in the consolidation race. Only a few months after the purchase of Indian company Kenersys, the wind turbine manufacturer bought Polish-based blade manufacturer Euros for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition includes two plants in Southern Poland, which can both deliver blades to all of Senvion's turbine types. Already, the wind turbine manufacturer has blade factories in Germany's Bremerhaven and Vagos in Portugal.

This was announced by Senvion in a press release.
