Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas intends to lay off about 350 workers at its blade factory in the Danish city Lem. These layoffs will happen by the end of this year and they are attributed to a need for production optimization. To put it frankly, the Danish workers are too expensive – not least when considering that a diminishing portion of production takes place in Europe.
