Chinese wind turbine manufacturer Goldwind has a signed a framework agreement in the US for almost 2 GW. Venezuelan project developer Viridis Eolia has hired the Chinese turbine manufacturer to supply its turbines of 2.5 and 3 MW for several projects in the US state Wyoming ahead of 2022, for a total capacity of 1,870 MW.
"Viridis has selected Goldwind as exclusive supplier of its PMDD (without gears, -ed.) wind turbines and provider of long-term operations and maintenance services to our wind projects in Wyoming," states Viridis CEO, Juan Carlos Carpio Delfino, in a press release.
