Dong grants record-breaking order to Scottish JDR

British cable manufacturer JDR has landed its largest single order in the history of the company from Dong Energy on the upcoming Hornsea 1 project.

Dong Energy has selected a local supplier to provide the array cables for the project Hornsea 1. Scottish cable manufacturer JDR won the task of connecting the 174 Siemens-turbines on the project, which will become the world's first gigawatt farm with its 1.2 GW when completed in 2020.
