MHI Vestas hires 70 workers at blade factory

For the second time within a few months, the offshore turbine manufacturer is significantly boosting its employee numbers.

MHI Vestas is strengthening its presence on the British market, by creating 70 new jobs at the British blade factory on the Isle of Wight, announced the Danish-Japanese joint venture Tuesday afternoon.

"There are three key areas of value that we bring to the UK, namely competition, innovation and skills, which will continue to bring direct benefits in terms of cost reductions, jobs and investment in the UK," said Jens Tommerup, CEO at MHI Vestas Offshore wind, in a press release.
