Sweden will become a much more vital market for Danish wind producer Eurowind in coming years. This was highlighted when Eurowind recently acquired a large portion of the project portfolio from the bankrupt Swedish wind producer Gothia Vind.
"The deal for Gothia's assets has just been settled and gives us immediate access to projects, ready for construction with all the permits finalized, of about 35 MW. As such, we'll now have access to the Swedish market which, like Denmark, has a strong focus on renewable energy, and where the price of electricity has now stabilized after a period at very low levels," says Jens Rasmussen, CEO of Eurowind.
