Danish wind producer catches glimpse of 1000 MW target

An increasing demand for a green transition and stabilized electricity prices in North Europe are giving rise to optimism around project development company Eurowind, despite a setback on the bottom line.

The sales of completed wind projects were at a lower level in the fiscal year 2015/2016 at Danish developer Eurowind, than was the case in previous years. But there is still faith in the future for company CEO Jens Rasmussen.

"We're exiting with a profit after taxes of EUR 3.8 million. This is definitely less than in the previous year, but it's also what we had in our budget, and I consider it satisfactory. In recent years, we had several major divestments of projects that we developed ourselves, where profits were very good. Just as planned, it was less in 2015/2016, where we sold project rights that we had acquired entailing a lower markup," says Rasmussen.
