OX2 seeks license for offshore wind in Kattegat

The Swedish developer has reached the next phase of the Galatea-Galene project and applied for permission to install wind turbines and substations in Kattegat.

OX2 has submitted a permit application to install wind turbines, substations and anemometers off the coast of Falkenberg and Varberg, informs the Swedish developer in an announcement.

"We have now arrived at the next phase and are looking forward to the next steps. Galatea-Galene would bring a significant amount of new Swedish renewable electricity to southern Sweden. The project is important for industry, business, households and the labor market. And it will also contribute to achieving Sweden's ambitious environmental goals," says Hillevi Priscar, Country Manager for OX2 in Sweden.
