Vattenfall prepares to extend Danish market lead

Like Ørsted, Vattenfall is among the minimum bidders for Thor, one draw from holding two-thirds of the Danish offshore wind market.

"We've placed the minimum bid for offshore wind park Thor," confirms Catrin Jung, Head Of Market Development Offshore at Vattenfall.

The Swedish power company thus competes against fellow Scandinavian Ørsted's similar bid, confirmed earlier today, in the coming lottery recently announced by the Danish Energy Agency.
