Thor offshore wind park decided by drawing lots

More than one bidder has offered the minimum price of DKK 0.01/kWh and largest farm capacity.

On Dec. 1, it will be decided who gets to build upcoming offshore wind farm Thor, the first of three offshore wind farms in the Energy Agreement from 2018.

The rights to build the facility will be allocated in a way that commonly prevents conflict: drawing lots. The Danish Energy Agency reports today that more than one bidder has offered to build the offshore wind farm at 1,000Mw of capacity for the minimum price of DKK 0.01/kWh.
