Ørsted acquires US wind farm

The Danish power utility has acquired a 302MW operational wind farm in the US. Lincoln Land Wind is fully contracted via power purchase agreements with Meta, formerly Facebook, and McDonald's.

Ørsted expands its presence in the US energy market with the acquisition of 302MW operational wind farm Lincoln Land Wind, which reached commercial operation on November 17.

The onshore wind farm, located in Morgan County, Illinois, has been bought from funds managed by Ares Management Corporation's Infrastructure and Power strategy for an undisclosed amount.
