Kavafyan quits Maersk Supply Service board

After only eight months, former MHI Vestas Offshore Wind CEO Philippe Kavafyan resigns from the board of Maersk Supply Service in order to avoid a potential conflict of interest, as Kavafyan has just assumed a new position with an Aker subsidiary.

Maersk Supply Service waves goodbye to former MHI Vestas Offshore Wind Chief Executive Philippe Kavafyan, who thereby only made it through eight months on the Maersk company's board of directors.

Maersk Supply Service confirms as much in communication with ShippingWatch. The shipping company explains that the change was made in order to avoid a potential conflict of interest in having Kavafyan on the board.
