KK Wind Solutions targets EUR 2bn valuation with new CEO

With a list of global M&A targets in hand, the Danish wind company means to expand into energy storage and PtX toward the greater aim of becoming the wind sector's Bosch, says departing CEO.

An incoming chief executive is not the only new addition to KK Wind Solutions. Mauricio Quintana, who from early next year will replace Chlinton Arendahl Nielsen as CEO, is also handed a new plan meant to catapult the Danish company into a position among the global wind industry's biggest players.

Within a matter of weeks, the company will launch a 2030 strategy building upon dramatic growth of recent years, when the top line has surged by 60 percent and significant acquisitions made since A.P. Møller Holding, shipping giant Maerk's investment manager, took over ownership. Both KK's growth rate and mergers and acquisitions strategy will also be maintained in the coming many years as the company KK moves to expand across borders and segments.
