SSE earmarks GBP 12.5bn for renewables and UK electricity grid

The energy company launches a program that will invest GBP 12.5bn into renewables and improve the electricity grid in the UK.

Scottish energy company SSE has announced an investment program to accelerate the development of green energy and to improve the electricity grid in the UK.

The program, Net Zero Acceleration Programme, includes an investment plan worth GBP 12.5bn (EUR 14.8bn) towards 2026 as well as long-term targets aiming for a fivefold increase in renewable power generation by 2031.
