Ørsted invests in local US offshore wind jobs

In just under a week, the utility has signed offshore wind contracts with the US supply chain in New Jersey, New York and Maryland.

Offshore wind isn't exclusively about providing green energy. A rarely irrelevant aspect – at least in the areas where the large renewable energy facilities are set up – is what is delivered in the form of investments and local jobs.

While actual offshore turbines in the US remain a couple of years into the future for Ørsted, the Danish power company has in the past week been delivering on the other front – twice, even.
