Danish power utility Ørsted has submitted an environmental impact assessment to Swedish public authorities for rights to develop project Skåne Havsvindpark – an offshore wind development located 22 kilometers offshore of Southern Sweden's Skåne county.
"The outlook for offshore wind in Sweden is unbelievably exciting, and if everything goes well, we are prepared to invest a double-digit sum SEK billions in Skåne Havsvindpark," writes Ørsted Head of Markets & Commercial, Continental Europe Peter Obling in a statement.
