Ørsted ready to invest GBP 12bn in Scottish offshore wind

If the Danish utility wins all five of its bids for the major Scotwind tender, Ørsted is prepared to invest up to GBP 12bn in Scottish waters.

Combined, Ørsted's five project bids reach a capacity of 8.8GW, reports Scottish media The Press and Journal.

Scotwind is Scotland's first offshore wind solicitation held in a decade and has thus far attracted as many as 74 bids.
